Clean Fashion: How CLOTH’EL Ensures Every Upcycled Garment Is Fresh, Safe, and Beautiful

Upcycled Doesn’t Mean Untouched — It Means Reimagined

At CLOTH’EL, we upcycle high-quality hotel textiles — including sheets, curtains, and even towels — that are still in excellent condition but no longer needed. These fabrics are often replaced for aesthetic reasons, not because they’re worn out. This means they’re durable, luxurious, and made to last — perfect for a second life in fashion.

But before we even begin the design process, cleaning is our first priority.

Our Cleaning Process: Hygiene First, Always

Every piece of textile we receive undergoes a thorough multi-stage cleaning and sanitization process, which includes:

- Professional Industrial Washing

We receive textiles from the hotels already cleaned, which means that the raw materials for our products undergo the professional industrial cleaning used in 5-star hotels.

- Manual Inspection and Second Cleaning

-     Each textile is hand-inspected to ensure it meets our strict standards. If a piece doesn’t pass, we don’t use it. If, after inspection, it is deemed that the material requires further cleaning, another round of cleaning is carried out in a dry-cleaning and laundry salon.

- Fabric Preparation

Only once the fabric is clean, safe, and verified do we begin the upcycling and design process.

So yes — whether you’re wearing a dress made from once-elegant hotel curtains or a robe fashioned from repurposed towels — your garment is 100% hygienic, fresh, and ready for your wardrobe.
